The YNHHS Clinical Risk Management Practice (CRM) Group guides the organizational response to potential liability events in the clinical settings. As part of this function, confidential databases are an integral part of the organizational ability to monitor and recognize trends and risk mitigation opportunities.
Incorporation of technological solutions and best practices will advance the Clinical Risk Management program to improve risk identification, assessment and resolution. This position, under the supervision of the Director, Risk Management & Senior Associate General Counsel, will provide oversight for central and relational databases within the Legal & Risk Services Department (LRSD).
This includes standard database improvement for efficiency and effectiveness as measured by team deliverable timeliness and accuracy. The position also provides certain administrative support to members of the Risk Management team, including scheduling and preparation of materials.

A candidate must be able to take initiative, work independently and as a collaborative team member of the LRSD.

Responsibilities:

  1. In collaboration with members of the CRM Practice Group, maintains risk management databases and monitors those databases for actionable trends.
  2. Creates and analyzes reports to assess impact on clinical risk management, LRSD business planning and System strategy. Reviews reports with internal team members to ensure appropriate interpretation and use of data.
  3. Maintains and audits submissions and other work product pertinent to the YNHHS Patient Safety Organization.
  4. Assists in the development of CRM performance metrics and data collection, especially as they relate to the YNHHS CLEAR (Communication Leads to Early Resolution) program.
  5. Coordinates comprehensive and accurate data analysis and interpretation to support senior level decisions regarding strategic clinical program and other initiatives.
  6. Coordinates data management support to Delivery Network entities.
  7. Maintains a working knowledge of LRSD document management and claims management systems.
  8. Assists in creating accurate, value-add executive summaries, reports, presentations, memos and other deliverables.
  9. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness and coordination of meeting schedule and calendar for CRM staff as necessary and provides administrative support as required for meetings.
  10. Performs other duties as requested by Director, Risk Management & Senior Associate General Counsel.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree required, with a focus on information management.

EXPERIENCE

Three years professional work experience in healthcare or legal analytics preferred. Experience working with large datasets, data analysis and reporting required. Candidate must demonstrate strong aptitude in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint.
