Service Advisor – Rockwall County Volkswagen
Rockwall County Volkswagen is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team. This role serves as the primary point of contact for service customers, ensuring a seamless and positive service experience while maximizing efficiency and profitability in the service department.
Job Responsibilities- Greet customers and assess their vehicle service needs.
- Recommend necessary maintenance and repair services based on vehicle diagnostics and manufacturer guidelines.
- Provide detailed cost estimates and explain service recommendations clearly.
- Communicate with technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of work.
- Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicle throughout the service process.
- Upsell additional services and maintenance plans when appropriate.
- Process repair orders, invoices, and warranty claims accurately.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and following up after service.
- Maintain knowledge of dealership service offerings, recalls, and warranty coverages.
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor in an automotive dealership preferred.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with dealership service management software.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in automotive service or a related field preferred.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently must walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
