Overview:

As the Construction Project Manager (Government Contracting) you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing multiple on-going construction projects within the government contracting sector. Your responsibilities will span from project inception to completion, ensuring efficient execution, adherence to safety protocols, and successful delivery.

This position requires a strong understanding of government regulations, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management:
  • Manage day-to-day operations at construction sites, ensuring projects stay on track and meet deadlines.
  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor progress, address any issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed, promoting a secure work environment.
  • Comply with government regulations, including environmental standards and occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management:
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and cost control.
  • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Personnel Management:
  • Lead and supervise construction teams, including project managers, engineers, and field staff.
  • Foster teamwork, mentorship, and professional development.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
  • Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and third parties to ensure project alignment with contractual obligations.
  • Provide regular progress reports and address any concerns promptly.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Maintain high-quality standards throughout construction projects.
  • Implement quality control processes and inspections.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in government contracting, specifically in construction operations. USACE experience preferred
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong negotiation skills and familiarity with government procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Desired certifications: QCS Certification, 30-Hour OSHA, Fall Protection
