Sr. Accountant

This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

• Oversee the complete corporate accounting cycle
• Regularly communicate with Accounting, Property Management, and Corporate team members
• Record subsidiary financial activity for consolidation and review monthly consolidation for accuracy
• Handle bank account activities, including monitoring, recording, making deposits, and preparing wires
• Assist in the preparation of tax deliverables for the Partners, in collaboration with the Director of Financial Reporting
• Ensure accurate invoice coding and support for corporate expenditures
• Charge fees to properties and monitor fee collections, working directly with Property Management
• Develop accounting strategies for new lines of business, in collaboration with the CAO and CFO
• Maintain real-time cash balance for cash forecasting for the Executive team
• Actively participate in enhancing processes and the application of technology for efficiency
• Undertake ad-hoc projects as required. • Candidate should hold a minimum of 1+ years of detail oriented experience as a Sr. Accountant or in a relevant role.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation is necessary for this role.
• Experience in balance sheet reconciliation is required.
• Familiarity with bank reconciliations is a must.
• The applicant must have a solid understanding of the general ledger.
• Knowledge of journal entries is crucial for this position.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Experience in month end close procedures is essential.
• Familiarity with NetSuite is a prerequisite for this role.
• Proficiency in Oracle is a must for this position.
• The candidate should have experience working with SAP.
• Knowledge of Excel formulas is required.
• Experience in commercial property management is a plus.
• The applicant should have a background in property accounting.
