Helpr is a care service platform that supports families in finding excellent full and part time primary and emergency (or backup) childcare providers, full and part time adult care providers/caregivers, and birth workers including doulas and Newborn Care Specialists.

A lovely man in San Diego near the 5 and 56 Interchange is looking for a trustworthy and patient Care Companion with experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s. Care is needed Monday through Wednesday from 11am - 2pm each day and occasionally on Thursdays & Friday (advance notice will be provided for Thursday/Friday needs).

An experienced provider who can maintain the client’s independence while also establishing a trusting relationship will be ideal. The client enjoys watching sports and gardening and would enjoy a caregiver willing to participate in those activities.

• Wednesday | 11am
• 2pm | Some Thursdays or Fridays w/ Notice

• Rate: $22-28/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Excellent companion care and supervision for one client
• Assistance with daily living activities, as-needed
• Light meal preparation
• Support with light housekeeping tasks related to client care

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years paid, professional caregiving experience
• Memory Care experience required
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• CPR certified or willing to become certified
• Ability to aid a heavier client should mobility concerns arise

Compensation: Position pays $22-28 per hour and client is looking for 9 hours per week, long-term. Occasionally may offer up to 15 hours per week with advance notice and depending on the care provider’s availability to work the extra days.
