Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable Functions:

  • Review, verify, and process invoices for approval and payment.
  • Assist with reconciling vendor statements and addressing discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of AP transactions and ensure proper coding to general ledger accounts.

Transaction and Process Support:

  • Enter financial data into accounting software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Support month-end closing procedures, including AP accruals and prepaid expense adjustments.

Vendor Relations:

  • Communicate professionally with vendors to address inquiries and resolve payment-related issues.

Audit and Reporting:

  • Assist with preparing reports for internal and external audits focused on AP-related data.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to streamline AP workflows.

General Accounting Support:

  • Provide backup support for other accounting functions such as Accounts Receivable, as needed.
  • Assist with special projects and perform other duties assigned by the Accounting Manager or Finance Supervisor.

Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, Journal Entries, Month End Close, SAPQualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required (or equivalent work experience).
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle a high volume of transactions.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude toward improving processes.
  • Experience:
  • 0-2 years of internship or professional experience in an accounting function, preferably with Accounts Payable exposure.
