Position Summary:
The Rigger/Ironworker Foreman will be responsible for the field planning and installation of steel girders, columns, and other structural members to form completed structures or structural framework as directed by the Superintendent.
Responsibilities:
- Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety, first in everything we do.
- Ensure compliance with TMC Safety Policies and TMC Quality Control Plan
- Ensure that materials required for the week are on site or available
- Collect and enter labor and equipment on a daily basis into Heavy Job
- Maintain quantities of work completed on a daily basis
- Conduct daily huddles in the absence of the Superintendent
- Ensure that equipment is cleaned and stored properly at the end of each shift
- Assist in planning work schedule and determining labor and equipment needs daily
- Report any potential changes or extra’s to appropriate Field Superintendent
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Ironworker Foreman working on Heavy Civil related construction
- Must have experience with layout, connecting, and rigging.
- Ability to work at all heights is a must.
- Ability to read blueprints, interpret symbols and abbreviations on plans and drawings
- Prior rigging experience to include knowledge of hand signals, rigging gear, inspection, and proper use.
- Have a valid driving license
- OSHA 10 certified
- NCCER certification is a plus.
