About Our Client
I'm partnered with the CFO at a multi-million dollar, family-owned, rapidly growing manufacturer located near Kenosha, WI. The company is growing immensely and wants to bring on a Plant Controller to partner directly with the CFO.
In this newly created role, you will have full ownership of the entire plant and manage the day-to-day accounting function, while leading a team of 2+ individuals. As the Plant Controller, you will be a key driver in improving efficiency and profitability of the business as well.
Job Description
Plant Controller Responsibilities:
- Review and present financial reports accurately and promptly; effectively communicate monthly and yearly financial statements; gather financial documentation for lending purposes, and manage all financial responsibilities.
- Lead and manage the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors and evaluating necessary changes.
- Monitor and adapt to changes in cost accounting practices.
- Oversee and manage the annual budgeting and planning process in alignment with the Strategic Plan; review and administer all financial plans and budgets.
- Manage fixed assets and prepare capital budgets.
- Conduct research and implement strategies for cost reduction and process improvements.
- Supervise inventory control and manage the physical inventory reconciliation process.
- Maintain a strong track record of setting priorities, with excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to facilitate sound decision-making.
- Commit to training programs that align with and enhance both individual and organizational goals.
- Work closely with State and Federal Agencies.
- Other duties as assigned.

The Successful Applicant- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Manufacturing or related industry experience
- Management experience needed
- Hands-on experience as a Controller
- Cost exposure nice to have
- Audit start/background nice to have
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with the existing team
- Ability to work independently as well
