A top Waste and Recycling company in the Niles, Michigan area is looking for a diesel mechanic to add to their team. The primary responsibility will be repairing and performing maintenance on Class A and B garbage truck engines. Pay and responsibilities will be aligned with knowledge and ability.
Responsibilities:
- Performing inspections and repairs on Commercial, Rolloff, and Residential Trucks
- Performing PM's and Repairs on diesel engines
- Performing Brake Inspections and Repairs to ensure the safety and functionality of the vehicles
- Using service manuals and schematics to organize and perform necessary repairs efficiently
- Adhering to safety protocols and following OSHA regulations
- Ensuring tools and equipment are well-maintained and promptly reporting any issues
