Summary of Position:

The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University (LKSOM) is accepting applications from fellowship-trained neurologist specializing in epilepsy to join this growing program in the Department of Neurology. Candidates should have a strong interest growing a clinical practice, medical education and clinical and or basic research.

Opportunities exist at the Temple’s Health Science Campus as well suburban partner sites.

The Comprehensive Epilepsy Center at Temple Neurosciences at Boyer Pavilion is one of the premier facilities in the region for evaluating and treating patients with all forms of epilepsy and seizure disorders. A highly skilled, multidisciplinary medical team that includes neurologists, neurosurgeons, nurse coordinators and rehabilitation specialists offers a complete range of diagnostic and treatment options designed to provide patients from teens to adulthood with the highest standard of care.

Our Program provides state-of-the-art diagnostic services including standard and video EEG, 3.0 Tesla structural MRI, functional mapping and magnetoencephalography to optimize treatment selection. Temple’s Epilepsy Center earned Level 4 Accreditation by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers and includes a dedicated inpatient Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.

The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care while closely supervising and educating medical students and neurology residents. There are opportunities for general neurology as well as other sub-specialty practice, for those with fellowship training.

Candidate Qualifications
  • M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent
  • Successful completion of Epilepsy Fellowship and Neurology Residency from ACGME-accredited programs prior to the start date
  • Board certification in Neurology
  • Board eligibility or certification in Epilepsy.
  • Ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license & DEA from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to employment
