Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer

Seeking a Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer opening for a mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and energy consulting engineering firm dedicated to providing responsive and cost-effective professional services to facility owners, architects, and developers.
Responsibilities:Working under the leadership of our senior engineers, this position will be responsible for assistance in all phases of plumbing & fire protection engineering design and construction administration services including:-Drafting of plumbing & fire protection systems using AutoCAD and REVIT.-Production of construction documents including plans, details, specifications, and equipment schedules.
-Pipe sizing and flow calculations-Research of Codes and standards.-Selection of equipment and design of complete plumbing & fire protection systems.-Coordination with other engineering disciplines and architectural trades.-Participation in design discussions and meetings.-Documentation and analysis of existing building systems.-Review of contractor RFI's, equipment submittals and on-site construction inspection visits.

Ideal Candidate:-Minimum of 5 years of relevant plumbing & fire protection design experience in commercial, educational, healthcare, housing, and municipal projects is preferred.-Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office Suite.-B.S. in Mechanical Engineering is preferred; we will consider an Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology or similar field-EIT and LEED accreditation is a plus.
Pay: $87,360.00 - $156,000.00 per year
