The Content Strategist role is focused on driving content excellence and empowering the AWS sales field to efficiently and effectively leverage enablement resources.

The Knowledge Management & Governance (KMG) team is seeking an experienced Content Strategist to become a subject matter expert on our internal Learning Management System (LMS) and guide content creators across AWS.

Key job responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one support, training, and documentation to help content owners leverage the LMS's full capabilities
  • Promote consistent content standards, taxonomies, and governance practices to ensure high-quality, aligned enablement materials
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define the business requirements for an integrated content experience that meets the team's strategic goals
  • Build a foundational understanding of the other enablement content and Salesforce platforms to optimize content workflows and delivery

A day in the life

The Content Strategist's day is centered around supporting content owners across the organization. They triage requests, provide one-on-one guidance to align content with standards, and deliver Highspot training sessions. The Strategist also collaborates cross-functionally to define requirements for an integrated content experience that meets the team's strategic goals.

About the team

The Worldwide Field Enablement's Knowledge Management and Governance (KMG) team is responsible for providing the best possible experience for the Sales Field in their interactions with enablement content and the information they need to succeed. The team's core functions include:
  1. Setting the strategy and vision for in-flow learning and enablement through AWS systems
  2. Providing content creation and management support across Sales, Marketing, and Global Services
  3. Establishing and enforcing content standards, information architecture, and governance models
  4. Defining business requirements for the technical functionality needed to facilitate in-flow enablement

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success.
AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.- 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Experience with basic web-based tools and products like Outlook, Excel, Word and SharePoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
  • In-depth understanding of Highspot's functionality and best practices for sales-focused content

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
