We are in search of an Accountant for a contract role based in Portland, Oregon, with a focus on construction accounting. The selected applicant will be part of a team where they will be expected to handle job costing, month end close, complex billing, WIP reporting and more!

Responsibilities:

• Manage construction projects, ensuring they are accurately tracked, billed, and reconciled.
• Maintain and report on WIP schedules with accuracy.
• Prepare and process monthly WIP reports, including cost-to-complete estimates, percentage of completion, and revenue recognition.
• Verify all costs and billings are correctly captured and recorded in the general ledger.
• Oversee job costing and month-end close procedures.
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations
• Mastery of General Ledger operations
• Experienced in Journal Entries
• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge of Construction Accounting
• Understanding of Revenue Recognition
• Experience with WIP - Work In Progress accounting
• Ability to handle Job Cost accounting
• Experience with Billing procedures
