HSS is currently seeking multiple Managers for a well-known restaurant chain that specializes in bone-in chicken and biscuits in the Chester, VA. We are seeking experienced leaders that have a passion for chicken and great customer service!

Compensation:

*Varies based on experience from $50,000 - $65,000K(+ monthly commission potential)***********Levels available are Co Managers, Managers and Unit Managers***************

Overview:

Managers must be able to run open and close shifts without supervision. Develop people. Interview and select people. For higher management level roles will be required to manage P&L ./ Budget. Review End of the Week Reports. Do scheduling and run the restaurant operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality, Service and Cleanliness (QSC)
  • Supervise the preparation and positioning of people, equipment, and products for each shift.
  • Ensures compliance with all restaurant training guide procedures by maintaining holding times, service speed, raw and finished product quality, cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Can perform all management functions, including opening, transition and closing shifts if necessary.
  • Maintains highest personal hygiene and professional appearance at all times.
  • Supervises delivery of raw product.
  • Handles customer complaints with expertise.
  • Can perform and/or train Team Member functions when necessary.
  • Maintains customer comfort levels (HVAC, music, crew noise, etc)
  • Maintains an 'A' health grade
  • Maintains an 85% QSC average
Note: Higher Level Managers will be responsible for all facilities management, store equipment, including calibrations, repairs, preventive maintenance, and energy conservation. In addtion handles customer complaints with expertise. Teaches management staff to resolve customer complaints to customer's satisfaction
SALES
  • Ensures correct and accurate Point of Purchase materials are displayed.
  • Follows up on procedures that support market promotions.
Note: Higher Level Managers will creates long-term unit objectives for restaurant supervised plus, develops and implements action plans for sales building by ensuring Local Sales Marketing activities are being used in the restaurant and that all employees are trained on promotions etc.
PROFIT
  • Responsible for holding line items within budget.
  • Ensures all security procedures are followed.
  • Controls labor, waste, and cash according to budget.
Note: Higher Level Managers will project annual sales and profit plan, and will reconcile Monthly P&L. They will also train staff and managers on profitability plan and budget etc.
ADMINISTRATION
  • Calculates build to and is in charge of ordering.
  • Completes all required logs.
  • Responsible for safe contents.
  • Completes all MIC paperwork.
  • Lists invoices per company policy.
  • Completes Cash sheet, counts drawers, and assembles deposits.
  • Completes daily and end of week inventories.
Note: Higher Level Managers will be responsible for P&L statements, QSC evaluations and making sure all bank deposit are correct and received in a timely manner. They will also schedule all managers and make sure all team schedules are posted.
In addtion they will ensure all Safety checklist and procedures are being followed by staff. In addtion will audit logs and end of week reports, inventories and supply management.
PEOPLE
  • Interviews Team Members and checks references.
  • Ensures labor laws are enforced.
  • Helps develop team through team excel program including service/kitchen leaders and shift managers.
  • Handles corrective action and / or terminations according to company policy.

Note: Higher Level Managers will be be responsible for overall management of employees including development plans, training, recruiting, hiring etc. They will also be involved in creating incentive programs to motivate team. They will have weekly team meeting and coach team regularly.

In addition, performs other duties as assigned by Area Supervisor or Director of Operations / VP of Operations.

PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

Our client believes in promoting from within and offers an a great training program. Participants will be required to complete Phase I and Phase II classes during Training and must pass final exam with 90% or better and re-certification exam with 92% or better.
