Legal Assistant

Robert Half's Legal Division is seeking a Legal Assistant to join one of our longstanding clients in the Chicago loop! The selected individual will be responsible for managing a variety of office duties, with a primary focus on litigation support and problem-solving tasks.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Effectively managing litigation tasks, with a focus on federal court cases
• Demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Word, for various clerical tasks
• Overseeing different aspects of business operation, including billing and liaising with IT support for technical issues
• Displaying advanced problem-solving skills to address and resolve arising issues independently
• Using clerical skills for tasks such as mail management and handling building-related issues
• Using QUICKBOOKS for data entry tasks, not generating reports
• Demonstrating a strong understanding of Adobe Acrobat and Case Management Software for effective case handling
• Managing billing functions and calendar to ensure smooth workflow
• Administering claims and maintaining positive client relations
• Displaying strong, detail oriented communication skills in all interactions.

• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat is required
• Demonstrated experience with Case Management Software
• Familiarity with Billing Functions is essential
• Strong skills in Calendar Management
• Prior experience in Claim Administration is a must
• Ability to manage Client Relations effectively
• Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites is required
