We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Project Manager - Capital Project Construction in Lake Park, Florida. This role is primarily focused on the construction and real estate industry, with a significant emphasis on project management and accounting.
You will be working closely with an AP coordinator, bookkeeper, and an external Controller Consultant, contributing to the monthly closing process.
Responsibilities- Oversee the construction project management, ensuring all operations are carried out in an appropriate, cost-effective way.
- Handle the payout to subcontractors and owners/partners, ensuring that all transactions are accurate and timely.
- Regularly update and prepare the partner payout schedule.
- Conduct frequent budget reviews to monitor project costs and make necessary adjustments.
- Update project costs regularly to provide accurate and timely financial information.
- Utilize Sage300 and other ERP systems for efficient project and financial management.
- Review change orders, liens, and budget proposals in the construction and real estate industry, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Manage subcontractor bids and proposals, ensuring they align with project requirements and budget.
- Collaborate with the AP coordinator, bookkeeper, and outside Controller Consultant in the month-end close process.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and activities related to the project. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a project management role, preferably in capital project construction
- Proven expertise in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
- Strong knowledge of budget processes, particularly in the context of construction projects
- Hands-on experience with construction, specifically commercial and corporate real estate
- Proficiency in using Sage 300 software
- Familiarity with commercial real estate industry practices
- Experience in managing corporate real estate projects
- Understanding of liens and their implications on construction projects
- Proven ability to manage partnership returns effectively
- Experience in handling subcontractor bids and proposals
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
