Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner

Job Description

Community Health Center is seeking an exceptional Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner who is passionate for disadvantaged and vulnerable populations with experience in family medicine or internal medicine.

Working in a direct patient care capacity in support of the health center mission — to provide the physical, mental, emotional, and mentoring needs of families and children of all ages. To serve people regardless of religion, ethnicity, race or gender with love, compassion, and generosity — the Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner examines patients, interprets lab and test results, offers treatment and education, and updates patient records in our electronic health records platform.

• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound clinical judgment, including consulting and referring with practice physicians
• Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive initial and follow-up healthcare evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment
• Demonstrated ability to always act in the best interest of the patient and to help patients make informed decisions related to their care
• Ability to accurately code patient visits and provide thorough documentation using an electronic health records system
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic phlebotomy procedures and tasks
• Experience working in a Family Practice setting
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) with comprehension of medical terms in both Spanish and English are required.
• Treat all people with dignity, respect, compassion and integrity at all times (i.e. when speaking on the telephone, to visitors, and company personnel)
• Performs all other duties as assigned and within the PA/NP scope of care in family or internal medicine
