Senior Accountant

Prepares complex general ledger accounting entries for life insurance subsidiaries and non-life entities, on both a statutory and GAAP basis. Reviews routine accounting prepared by less senior team members. Reviews routine reconciliation of financial and/or budget data.
Develops monthly analysis of accounting, budget and investment results. Provides current and forward looking information to support business leadership decision-making.
Partners with organizational peers to present results to department leadership and BU analysts to support
business unit decision-making, budget analysis and strategic initiatives.
Prepares regulatory, external and internal reporting for distribution to management, Board of Directors, regulators and rating agencies.- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role within the Insurance - Life industry
- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
- Experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Proven ability to handle Month End Close responsibilities
- Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP systems
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organization skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- CPA certification is a plus
- Experience with regulatory standards within the Insurance - Life industry is preferred
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
