Sr. ServiceNow Engineer

Overview:

• Tier One Technologies is looking for a Sr. ServiceNow Engineer to support our US Government client.
• This multi-year position will be located in Fort Meade, MD.
• Must be a US Citizen and have active TS/SCI clearance. Full scope poly – preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real- time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.
• Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
• Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
• Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the- shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
• Resolve software problem reports.
• Work individually or as part of a team.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• 15 years of applicable design and development experience.
• 12 years of direct experience leading teams of software design and development for collection systems and components.
• 4+ years of experience with ServiceNow Implementations.
• 2+ years of experience developing on the ServiceNow Platform.
• Bachelor's degree with 2 additional years of Software Engineering experience may be substituted for a Master's degree.
• ITILv3, ITILv4, or ITILv5 Certification at any level will meet the requirement, i.e., Foundation, Managing Professionals, Strategic Leaders, etc.
• ServiceNow System Administrator certification OR ServiceNow Application Developer certification will be required.
• Experience creating and implementing scripts, business rules, policies, ACLs and otherwise configure or modify ServiceNow applications to meet requirements.
• Experience integrating third-party software and APIs with ServiceNow using REST and SOAP.
• Experience coding in scripting languages (i.e.: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, JSON or other languages used in ServiceNow).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have active TS/SCI clearance. Full scope poly – preferred.
• Must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
• Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members).
