Job Description:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Sr. Baggage Handling System SME is responsible for managing the scope, cost, schedule and operational interfaces of all design and construction related activities for the Baggage Handling System projects. The Sr. Baggage Handling System SME will be focused on schedule certainty, budget delivery and making sure that construction work meets the required quality standards while enforcing a strong health, safety, and environmental culture on the project.The Sr. Baggage Handling System Project SME will ensure the development and implementation of design, construction, testing, commissioning, turnover plans, impacts to the operations, ensuring that risk mitigation for construction activities are optimized, working and coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring standards are adhered to.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or other related field required (Master's degree preferred).
- More than 15 years of experience in maintenance and operation of Baggage Handling Systems.
- More than 15 years of experience in airport construction is required.
- Experience in the construction of large aviation related projects at domestic and/or foreign airport locations.
- Experience on Activation team at large domestic or international airport.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction-related processes, as well as a thorough knowledge of industry practices.
- Possess technical skills in project management, aviation operations, training, documentation, communications, and/or operational or technology testing.
- Proven leadership and management capability is required.
- Good written and oral communications skills.
- Knowledge in Word, Prolog, Outlook, Office 365, which also includes Excel and PowerPoint.
- Optional certifications may include AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, etc. or any other relevant professional licensure and/or certifications.
- Maybe required to work past regular work shift.
- Maybe required to work various shifts as needed.
Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $165,000.00-$182,000.00 .
