Job Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using nuclear medicine techniques to ensure high-quality scans for accurate diagnosis.
- Prepare and administer radioactive tracers while following strict safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging systems, including PET and SPECT scanners.
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to radiation safety standards and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to interpret imaging results accurately.
- Document imaging procedures, patient details, and dosage information per NYSDOH regulations.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, following hospital and regulatory infection control standards.
- Respond to medical emergencies, including adverse reactions to radiopharmaceuticals, following BLS protocols.
- Educate patients on procedures, providing clear instructions and addressing concerns.
- Stay updated on advancements in nuclear medicine technology and attend required training sessions, including EPIC classes.
Requirements:
✔️ Experience: Minimum 1 year in Nuclear Medicine Technology✔️ License: Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license issued by NYSDOH (Required)
✔️ Certification: AHA BLS (Preferred)
