Our client is is a leader in compressed air and equipment with over 50 years in business. They have excellent financial backing. They are seeking a Field Service Technician to cover the Houston area.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Setup: Install, configure, and test new equipment, machinery, or systems at customer locations, ensuring proper operation and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance. Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment or systems as needed, both remotely and on-site.
- Customer Support: Provide exceptional on-site customer service, offering technical assistance and guidance to end-users. Address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction with all services provided.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, including work performed, parts used, and time spent on each service call. Update customer profiles and service logs as required.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines while working in the field. Ensure that all work complies with local regulations, safety standards, and manufacturer specifications.
- Training & Development: Continuously improve technical knowledge and skills through training and staying current with product updates and industry trends.

The Successful Applicant
Qualifications:
- Education: B.S. Preferred. Technical certifications or associate degree in a relevant engineering field is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar technical field is preferred, ideally in air compressor equipment, filtration equipment, pumps, valves, or other.
- Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field-based role.
- Certifications: Are a plus.
- Travel: Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites, with the possibility of overnight stays, depending on the service area
