Care Team Specialist I (Part Time)

You will be working on the Pastoral Care team, which is a fast-paced and dynamic environment that handles a high call-volume. Your role will be challenging no doubt, but you have a tight-knit team of people who love and support one another. Warning: The Pastoral Department is known for having lots of snacks, Nerf guns, games, laughter, and you may experience deeper growth in your own faith.
PT Hours available:
- Saturday - Monday 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- Monday, Friday & either (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Saturday) 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM
- Monday, Friday & either (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Must be able to work holidays as needed.
Location: On-site in our Franklin, TN office
Responsibilities:
As a Care Team Specialist I, here are a few things you'd be doing...- Answer pastoral phone calls and complete initial intake and assessment.
- Provide crisis call screening and follow-up to all incoming communication channels, working closely with the ministry pastoral team.
- Pray with callers without counseling, advising or rebuking. For liability reasons, this role does NOT provide pastoral counsel at all.
- Provide caller resources and scripture to assist them in their situation.
- Demonstrate an understanding of scripture by including appropriate verses in responses; demonstrating the different tone that accompanies the Air1 voice vs. K-LOVE.
- From a pastoral support perspective, respond to email, social media and other communication from listeners.
Qualifications:
Here's what we're looking for...- 2+ years of experience within some sort of prayer ministry is required. (i.e. Church, school, etc.)
- Solid understanding of scripture and demonstrate strong knowledge of God's word.
- Must be able to demonstrate discernment on spiritual issues and have excellent listening skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills; knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Social Media platforms, ability to learn EMF-specific systems. Minimum keyboard speed of 45 WPM.
- Ability to multi-task inbound/outbound calls and verbal/written communication.
- Familiarity to Christian/Biblical approach to spiritual care services a plus.
- Associates degree (or higher) in biblical studies, theology or equivalent a plus!
- Bilingual skills a plus!
- Because this is an on-site position, candidates within commute distance of Franklin, TN are preferred.
