Shift: Evening Shift (3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.)
We are seeking experienced radiology tech with a strong background in pediatric radiology. The ideal candidates will be proficient in the use of X-Ray equipment and have a deep understanding of pediatric diagnoses within a radiology department.

Job Description:We are seeking experienced radiology tech with a strong background in pediatric radiology. The ideal candidates will be proficient in the use of X-Ray equipment and have a deep understanding of pediatric diagnoses within a radiology department.
This role requires direct patient interaction, including interviewing to identify concerns, collecting and documenting patient information, and ensuring proper positioning during radiologic procedures.
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic X-Ray imaging for pediatric patients, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety
- Expertly position patients to ensure accurate radiologic imaging and diagnosis
- Engage with patients and families to alleviate concerns and provide a comforting experience for children
- Collect and document patient information thoroughly and accurately
- Operate X-Ray equipment efficiently and safely, adhering to department protocols and radiation safety guidelines
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to provide excellent patient care
Shift & Schedule:
- Evening shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- 5 shifts per week, with occasional weekend shifts as needed
- Weekly guaranteed hours between 36 and 40
Requirements:
- Proven experience in pediatric radiology, working with patients from infancy to adolescence (up to age 17)
- Extensive hands-on experience with X-Ray equipment in a clinical setting
- Superior skills in patient positioning and radiologic imaging procedures
- Active Virginia X-Ray Technologist license (VA license required)
- Ability to work in a high-paced environment and communicate effectively with children, families, and medical staff
- Flu vaccinations due by October 15, 2024 (no medical or religious exemptions allowed)
