IP Scheduler

• Train: Days
• 10hrs, 40hrs/week, 5am to 3:30 pm, Once trained
• Evening shift
• Tuesday - Friday
• 3pm - 1:30am
• Work Location: Onsite, Palo Alto, CA-

Compensation: $27 to $35 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities -Schedule complex surgeries requiring strong knowledge of procedure, department protocols and timing-Centralized surgery and procedure scheduling-Answer inbound calls and manages appropriately-Monitor grids, durations and O.R. rooms-Coordination of O.R. rooms with nurse managers-Work directly with O.R. nursing and anesthesia to coordinate case needs, information, accuracy and placing cases-Manage coordination of upcoming schedules-Review next day schedule with RNs and anesthesia-Support assignment and management of anesthesia resources for Main Campus, LPH, and APS sites-Coordination of inpatient availability for inpatient, To Be Admitted and Surgical Pre-Admits-Knowledge of EIPC and its functions-Problem solving to identify, prevent, or resolve inter or intra-departmental problems-Facilitate optimization of same day O.R. schedule in collaboration with anesthesia and nurse management-Assigning of anesthesia staff-Intake of emails and coordination of transplant cases-Management of trauma cases through pager-Able to work in a high stress environment-Room management, closing rooms down, combining rooms-Monitor equipment down for repair-Rearrangement, cancel and edit surgical cases-Vendor management as appropriate to role-Direct surgeon communication regarding clarification to case details and updates
