Reporting Relationship: Corps Commanding Officers
Salary and Grade: $19.00 per hour; 75 Non-Exempt

Position Overview: The Case Manager position is a professional that commits to the well being of the homeless men and women of our community. Strives to help them come out of homeless lifestyle and empowers them to move towards self sufficiency.
Responsibilities:
Case Manager creates and maintains case files according to HUD and The Salvation Army standards. Maintains confidentiality of all records. Develop and maintain a comprehensive referral network for shelter, supportive services and employment and housing options.Provide referrals for clients assisting them with immediate needs and service plan goals. Comply with the requirements of HMIS according to program obligations. Attend and paticipate in deparmental staff meetings and all staff meetings as well as weekly supervision.
Create life skills, employment options and other group templates and lead one (1) life skill group per week as prepared schedule. Provide monthly computerized statistics on case load and program participation.

Qualifications:
- BSW or BA/BS degree in related social sciences field
- Be able to work in a changing environment that may need for some flexibility in adapting to frequent caseload changes
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English with proficiency
- Experience handling individuals with drug and alcohol abuse and mental health issues
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, along with the ability to navigate the internet
- Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army
Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check along with renewals every five years.
