The Fleet Maintenance Training Manager performs classroom, hands-on, and 3^rd party instruction to include but not limited to, maintenance managers and technician development programs, basic and advanced training, new equipment familiarization training, remedial training and shop safety meetings.
This individual will work directly with the field maintenance managers and directors regarding shop business practices, maintenance software utilization, implementation of corporate directives and safety programs. It is the responsibility of the Fleet Maintenance Training Manager to assist in the implementation of all policies and procedures as determined by Interstate Waste Services to maintain regulatory compliance with state and federal agencies including state and federal DOT.

The Fleet maintenance Training Manager will be the liaison between Corporate and the field to facilitate growth and successfully achieve the company's long term strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

In this position, you will develop and practice the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to lead, implement, and monitor the maintenance processes that support operations and maximize fleet performance.

The duties and responsibilities are under the direction and supervision of the maintenance fleet leadership team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Leads the deployment of Interstate Waste Services maintenance programs, policies and procedures in the field company wide
  • Leads efforts to change core business behaviors in the field as well as develop and execute plans to sustain those changes over time
  • Supports site leadership in the development of performance improvement programs; including reports and tool utilization, meeting structure and frequency, and opportunity identification and analysis
  • Acts as a source of direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff demonstrating coaching, mentoring, and leadership skills
  • Develops strong understanding and dedication to Interstate Waste’s Safety Program
  • Develops working knowledge of Interstate Waste’s fleet and general business applications and software systems
  • Develops working knowledge of day-to-day maintenance operations in order to stream line and optimize maintenance manager responsibilities
  • Conducts pre and post visits to field locations to ensure fleet management processes are being followed and software systems are being utilized effectively
  • Updates and submits required reports in a timely manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned (may include special projects)
  • Adept at utilizing web-based tools, databases, strong excel proficiency, etc.
  • Have strong organization, be detail-oriented, and relentless follow through skills
  • Other duties and responsibilities associated with the role that may be assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with 7+ years of related experience (required)
  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of related experience (preferred)
  • Self-Starter with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite
  • Familiarity with financial practices and procedures
  • Process oriented team builder

Salary Range Minimum: USD $100,000.00/Yr.

Salary Range Maximum: USD $130,000.00/Yr.
