Responsibilities:

The role of the Residential Manager is to oversee the assigned campus or residence and to ensure that the Newport program runs smooth on a day-to-day basis. The duties of this position are designed to ensure residences or campus are operating within all of Newport Healthcare values and standards, innovate new operational systems, and ensure the Residential Supervisors are fulfilling their daily duties.

Essential Duties:

  • Manage the Residential Supervisors and provide weekly feedback, coaching, and training.
  • Act as a liaison to the clinical team.
  • Ensure all Newport Healthcare values and standards are followed at all locations.
  • Share updates, information, and plans with the Residential Supervisors regarding individualized care for clients from the daily Flash meeting.
  • Utilize reports and observations to ensure that all safety protocols are followed.
  • Make staffing schedules, handle scheduling issues for assigned residences, approve payroll, manage PTO approvals for all Residential Supervisors, and conduct performance evaluations of Residential Supervisors.
  • Present as needed at new hire orientation and other training sessions and conduct training for Residential Supervisors.
  • Delegate responsibilities and duties to the Residential Supervisors from shift-to-shift and provide support for more involved employee-relation issues.
  • Provide training from the Newport library for all new direct care staff and review monthly with all employees.
  • Interview and select new employees in conjunction with HR and the Residential Director. Coordinate interview times, documentation, and update the applicant tracking system.
  • Act as communication liaison with other departments such as HR and Compliance.
  • Assist Residential Director in preparation for CCL visits/tours.
  • Work the floor to manage escalation/crisis situations.
  • Oversee all new resident intake and consents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, counseling, psychology, or social work preferred or working towards the same OR
  • State approved credential OR
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working with adolescents/young adults and families with co-occurring disorders.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory or management role preferred.
  • The minimum age is 18 years old as a requirement for employment.
  • Health Screening, TB Clearance, valid CPR and Criminal Record Clearance are required prior to employment.
