Accountant - Entry Level

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accountant - Entry Level role in our manufacturing industry based in Jersey City, New Jersey. This role involves a variety of accounting duties, including maintaining accurate customer records, handling payments, and ensuring the smooth running of our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Handling invoicing tasks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company procedures
• Managing accounts payable (AP), including verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
• Performing account and bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies
• Utilizing SAP and other accounting software systems to maintain financial records and transactions
• Preparing and recording journal entries in accordance with accounting policies and procedures
• Executing account analysis and providing detailed reports and findings
• Coordinating the processing and coding of accounts for efficient account management
• Utilizing software such as Adobe Acrobat and Dynamics NAV to manage, store, and analyze financial data
• Handling customer inquiries regarding payments and account statuses. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Familiarity with accounting software systems
• Basic knowledge of account coding and account analysis
• Proficient in using Adobe Acrobat
• Experience with Dynamics NAV and ERP Solutions is a plus
• Understanding of accounting entries and accounting functions
• Familiar with account reconciliation and accounts payable (AP)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Willingness to constantly update skills and knowledge in the field of accounting.
