Staff Accountant

Stable manufacturer seeks a Staff Accountant with intercompany experience and/or private equity experience a big plus. The responsibilities for this Staff Accountant role consist of handling general accounting operations such as: assisting with accounts payable/receivable activities, reviewing general ledger accounts, assisting with monthly account reconciliations, preparing journal entries, overseeing monthly accounting cycle closing, assisting with bank reconciliations, and participating in the development and tracking of budgets.
The ideal candidate for this role should have great problem-solving skills, highly organized, excellent time-management and strong budgeting/forecasting abilities that will ensure revenue generation.
Everyday Responsibilities- Support daily accounting functions
- Month End/Year End Close
- Preparing monthly financial statements
- Daily Cash Reporting
- Ad hoc journal entries
- Monitor and analyze general ledger accounts
- Database Management
- General ledger account reconciliation
- Track and prepare cash transfers
- Ad hoc special projects as requested
The ideal Staff Accountant MUST have a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
Other requirements for the Staff Accountant role include and are not limited to:
- 1+ years of accounting experience
- Manufacturing/Distribution industry experience preferred
- Intercompany expertise and/or PE expertise a big plus
- Epicor a big plus, Strong MS Excel a MUST
