Overview:
Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a Web Developer. The designated candidate for this position will join a collaborative team environment, providing leadership necessary toward the successful delivery of the project deliverables and provide effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting design/development.The place of performance for this contract is Washington, DC.

Responsibilities:
- Full-stack developer to design, build, and test a web-based application.
- Edit site content for various components.
- Maintain website standards and comply with predefined design guidelines.
- Utilize best practices in web screen design and learn about different middleware platforms to source and update data through web screens as specified in functional requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in any related field.
- Proficient in React.js and NodeJS.
- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience building and working with RESTful web services.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD, Jenkins, Gitlab-CI.
- Knowledge of image authoring tools, ability to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image.
- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
- Basic understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Experience working with open source software.
- Proficient in working with relational databases (Postgres and MySQL preferred).
- Experience with AWS containerization.
- Experience working with a content management system such as Drupal to create, manage, and theme content.
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environment.
- Experience with 508 compliance development.
- Proficient with HTML (Hypertext Markup Language); Typescript; Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Able to work with Teams.
- Able to work independently with little to no oversight.
