The employer is an accounting firm that provides a full range of accounting and auditing services to both private companies and individuals. It is seeking the services of a Staff Accountant to carry out the following duties: Compile and review balance sheets, profit and loss statements, amortization and depreciation schedules, and other financial statements and reports using knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Compute taxes owed, ensure compliance with tax payment, reporting, and other tax requirements, and prepare federal, state, and local income and franchise tax returns. Survey client operations to ascertain accounting needs and advise on the most efficient and effective methods of maintaining compliance with financial reporting requirements.
