Controller

We are seeking a Controller in the retail industry, based in New Brunswick, New Jersey. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity, with a focus on managing general accounting functions within a sports nutrition manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Managing overall accounting operations including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Ensuring adherence to Core General Accounting and GAAP principles
• Performing manual, hands-on accounting activities to solve complex issues
• Handling budget processes, including budgeting and forecasting
• Conducting regular bank reconciliations and cash flow analysis
• Generating regular cash flow reports and performing cash flow modeling
• Overseeing asset inventory management
• Utilizing Deacom software for accounting tasks, as needed.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller or similar position within the Retail industry.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Proven expertise in managing Accounting Functions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Knowledge in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) is desirable.
