Training Specialist

Overview:

BlueWater Federal is looking for a Training Specialist to support FEMA.

100% remote

FEMA requires additional digital communication services to implement user-friendly and accessible updates to FEMA.gov and the FEMA App that improve the customer experience (CX) and ensure clear communication about agency initiatives being rolled out in 2024.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct content audits of existing training information on all of FEMA’s training programs that reside on FEMA.gov, training.fema.gov, FirstResponderTraining.gov, and cdp.dhs.gov.
• Audit results should clearly identify areas of duplicative information, conflicting information.
• Ensure all web content is accessible, meeting or exceeding Section 508 standards.
• Ensure all web development meets current federal, DHS and FEMA IT security standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Web Development, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
• 4+ years of training experience.
• Basic understanding of HTML required to upload and style content into FEMA.gov website.
• Must have or be eligible for a High-risk Public Trust; US Citizenship required
