Ecologist
Location: Telford, Shropshire
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week). Part-time considered
Salary Range: Dependent on experience + 25 days annual leave

Role Description
We are seeking candidates with a consultancy background in ecological assessments, Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), and protected species surveying. The ideal candidates should have demonstrable experience with wildlife legislation, planning policy, ecological report writing, and industry-standard survey methodologies.
There will be opportunities to work on a diverse range of projects, along with career progression prospects for the right candidate. While the role is envisaged as full-time, we are open to part-time applications from suitable candidates.
Qualifications & Experience
Candidates should have the following desirable attributes:
- A degree (or higher) in an ecology-related subject
- Relevant experience for the level of the post
- Working towards or holding a relevant level of CIEEM membership
- Experience with protected species licensing and/or FISC
- Knowledge and experience of Biodiversity Net Gain and the statutory metric
- Strong report writing and presentation skills
- Experience using relevant software, including QGIS
- Ability to work as part of a team across the company
- A valid driving license
