Invariant seeks a Senior Manager to join our growing Executive Engagement team. You’ll work with a group of dynamic, highly-regarded experts to design bespoke executive engagement strategies for top and emerging business leaders.

Our clients range from well-known Fortune 500 companies to the most disruptive start-ups in the country. We help our clients solve complex challenges, create opportunities for growth, and connect with important stakeholders.

Invariant is a different kind of firm. We look at communications, public affairs, government relations, and business strategy holistically. You will do challenging, impactful work here. If that sounds interesting to you, come join us.

What you’ll do
  • Develop and implement executive engagement and visibility plans, including relationship mapping, stakeholder development, thought leadership strategy, and event planning and execution.
  • Research and synthesize complex business and policy issues, distilling information into memos that support thought leadership, stakeholder mapping, and media engagement.
  • Draft and edit communications plans, correspondence, client memos and briefing documents, run-of-show agendas, talking points, and other collateral.
  • Manage multiple workstreams and tasks with competing deadlines, move deliverables and tasks forward, complete projects and tasks with short turnaround times, and communicate effectively with the entire team.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior government and private-sector leaders, identifying and leveraging relevant stakeholders for client engagement.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, leading meetings and providing strategic guidance to C-suite executives.
  • Maintain a strong attention to detail and self-motivation, working well with little supervision.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create pitch decks, presentation materials, briefings, and informative client deliverables.
Who you are
  • 6-9 years of experience in public affairs, on political campaigns, or fundraising.
  • Passionate about public affairs and relationship building, with strong knowledge of members of Congress and administration officials.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines with a focus on detail and precision.
  • Excellent time management skills. Comfortable and adaptive when working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Solid communication skills and ability to manage both up and down.
  • Superior writing, editing, and research skills.
  • Conveys complex information clearly, both orally and written.
  • Proficient in use of digital software and technology, including databases such as Leadership Connect, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
