Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage interactions with employees, ensuring respectful and inclusive communication regardless of cultural differences and circumstances
- Utilize supervision processes and agency support effectively to execute assignments, duties, and responsibilities
- Ensure personal and collective safety within the organization through consistent mindfulness and reporting safety issues and violations
- Show commitment to personal and collective professional development, participating in professional development opportunities
- Provide leadership and supervision to program/department staff, including conducting regular meetings and trainings for effective program management
- Attend all required staff meetings, trainings, program, and organizational activities
- Maintain a professional manner when interacting with staff, colleagues, and funding sources
- Maintain program compliance with all funding and licensing procedures and requirements
- Maintain appropriate and professional relationship with all external parties including vendors, funders, partners, and state and federal agencies
- Coordinate with operations department on facility improvement, ensuring compliance with organizational standards of excellence.
The ideal AVP/VP Human Resources candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Human Resource certification highly preferred.
Other requirements for the AVP/VP Human Resources position include and are not limited to:
- 10+ years of human resource management experience required.
- Non-profit experience preferred.
- Experience with HRIS systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
- Demonstrated experience in employer branding and talent marketing.
- Familiarity with employment laws and regulations.
