Overview

The firm is seeking an experienced trial attorney to join their legal team. They are solely a plaintiff's personal injury law firm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both procedural and substantive law, with experience in trial practice, and having taken cases to verdict.

The hired candidate will be trying cases in all five boroughs of New York City, as well as in Nassau County, Suffolk County, and Westchester County. The hired candidate will be trying cases that involve motor vehicle negligence, as well as general liability matters including slip/trip and falls, ceiling collapses, and products liability.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case, and trial preparation, and strategy development.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and motions.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and during negotiations with opposing parties.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on a variety of legal matters.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas such as Workers Compensation Law, Tribal Law Regulations, and Securities Law.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to ensure comprehensive representation for clients.
  • Manage case files efficiently and maintain accurate records of all interactions and proceedings.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of personal injury trial experience
  • Strong litigation skills with experience in representing clients in court settings, specifically at trial.
  • Knowledgeable in Personal Injury Law, and the CPLR.
  • Admission to New York Bar
  • Excellent Legal Research skills to effectively analyze case law and statutes.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple cases simultaneously.
