This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer a Do D TS/SCI security clearance.
Serco has engineering and program management contracts supporting the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (USD (R&E)). Our staff provides mission engineering, analysis, and integration expertise to produce objective insights and analytic justification to inform future technology and capability investment decisions within the Planning, Programming, and Budgeting Execution (PPBE) process and aid in the prioritization, alignment and validation of requirements within Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) to deliver modernized capabilities that enable an all domain joint force aligned with future Joint Warfighting Concepts.Our team constructs, manages, and conducts discrete mission engineering and analysis study tasks to evaluate the efficacy of legacy architectures and new technologies and capabilities applied in new mission concepts of employment to meet evolving joint mission objectives.
You will be part of a team responsible for highly consequential engagements with stakeholders impacting national security and the defense capabilities of the United States. You will work closely with customers and other Serco teams to deliver quality solutions, recognized by Do D and industry as outstanding contributions in engineering program and risk management across the Defense enterprise.
In this role, you will:
- Perform administrative actions to review, disseminate, control, and track tasks/ actions through electronic means.
- Have experience with Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS) or other tracking tools (e.g. Microsoft Planner), reviewing staff packages for completeness, issues and maintaining configuration control.
- Have experience in developing and conducting records management plans and activities for Mission Integration.
- Directly support an SES Tier 2 in the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)) Mission Capabilities – Mission Integration
Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Active Do D Top Secret (TS) with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 5+ years of related professional experience.
- Use strong verbal and written communication skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment; present and explain technical information to colleagues, management, or sponsors.
- Experience working as a member of a multidisciplinary project team that may include engineers, scientists, designers, and technicians.
- The ability to travel up to 10%.
- Have strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Have experience with Microsoft products including Office and Share Point
Additional desired skills and experience:
- Background in Pentagon Senior-Level front office experience
