Staff Accountant

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the Wholesale Distribution industry, located in Ontario, California. We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. This individual will be responsible for a variety of tasks including bank and account reconciliation, journal entries, and coordinating with various departments to ensure expenses are up-to-date.

Responsibilities:

• Provide clerical support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations
• Perform month-end close procedures with precision
• Conduct bank and account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
• Generate journal entries as part of the accounting process
• Manage and maintain the General Ledger
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure all expenses are up-to-date
• Handle sales use tax and property tax matters
• Utilize ERP systems, including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for financial management
• Assist with accrual expense management and reporting.
• Demonstrable proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes
• Strong understanding and experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations effectively
• Proficiency in managing and maintaining the General Ledger
• Experience with recording and managing Journal Entries
• Capability to handle Month End Close processes
• Familiarity and experience with NetSuite software
• Knowledge and experience in using Oracle software
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks
• Experience with SAP software in a wholesale distribution setting
