Procurement Specialist

Position Summary: OPAL Fuels is hiring for an outstanding opportunity in procurement. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating purchases of various products and services for multiple job sites. The successful candidate will order supplies, inventory, equipment, and services for multiple facilities/ job sites.We are looking for candidates with strong skills that have the potential for promotion within the next few years. This role will be based in our White Plains, NY headquarters, on-site.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review of purchase requests and process purchase orders daily.
- Generate blanket purchase orders (BPOs) and keep a good record of spending, knowing when the BPO will be exhausted.
- Coordinate shipments.
- Place orders online using multiple websites.
- Coordinate closure of all construction projects’ purchase orders.
- Function as a liaison between operations/ field staff and vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/ business administration.
- 1-3 years of experience as a Procurement Specialist in a complex organization.
- Working knowledge of purchasing/ procurement and accounts payable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Top-notch computer skills including familiarity with Solomon, Microsoft Dynamics SL; Microsoft Office Suite; e Procurement.
- A sense of urgency, ability to get things done and total accountability for actions.
- Self-motivated and able to perform most tasks with little or no supervision.
- Must be a team player.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with and communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Proactive, detail oriented and organized.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday; standard business hours.
