Staff Accountant

We are inviting applications for the role of Staff Accountant based in Monmouth County, NJ. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a range of accounting duties, including the preparation of financial statements, tax forms, balance sheet analysis, and bank reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Conduct thorough analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Handle monthly inter-company reconciliation.
• Prepare audit schedules in line with external audit timelines and provide auditors with necessary supporting documents.
• Identify procedures that require improvement and recommend appropriate corrective actions to management.
• Carry out accurate bank reconciliations by investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report generation.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain and reconcile ledger accounts.
• Ensure compliance with all internal processes and policies as well as regulatory requirements.
• Must have a minimum of two years general accounting experience
• Proficient in Journal Entries and Bank Reconciliations
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required
• Familiarity with GAAP Accounting principles is essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is desirable
• Must have the legal right to work in the specified location.
