The AWS Supply Chain Management (SCM) team is responsible for building systems to manage inventory, assets, warehouses, product specifications, and orchestration and tracking of multitudes of processes such as ordering, shipment etc. that contribute to seamless provisioning of AWS compute capacity.Efficient management, production and provisioning of the billions of dollars of resources in the rapidly expanding cloud business is essential to ensure AWS continues to offer low cost high reliability capacity to its customers.
We are looking for a high caliber Senior Software Development Engineer who wants to work on challenging, high impact problems, and is passionate about developing both technology and people. The services we own are responsible for billions of dollars in spend, resulting in us having a huge opportunity to move the needle in a positive direction.
Key job responsibilities- Break down and solve complex and ambiguous problems
- Work on real world problems
- Own their systems end to end
- Influence the direction of our technology that impacts Infra Supply Chain automation- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
