As the Bilingual Therapeutic Behavioral Services Coach, you will provide behaviorally focused mental health services to county-referred youth and families. TBS supports youth who are returning to their families from institutional care and prevents the need for institutional care and those who are at risk of psychiatric hospitalization.TBS also supports youth who have been previously hospitalized in order to prevent future hospitalizations. These services, which are youth and family focused and strength based, are provided in the community, including, but not limited to, schools, hospitals, and family homes.
The TBS Specialist works individually to provide therapeutic intervention while also collaborating with other treatment providers to ensure continuity of care and a collaborative effort to support the youth and family in meeting their goals.

Responsibilities:
- Utilize approved behavioral interventions developed in collaboration with the treatment team and TBS Coordinator
- Provide for and complete the TBS Assessment and Client Service Plan Addendum with the client, regular caregiver, therapist and significant others, based upon the identification of behavioral problems and treatment goals
- Complete client progress notes in a timely manner for each day of service according to Medi-Cal guidelines and standards
- Attend regular group consultation meetings and trainings
- Meet with the client’s individual therapist or case manager on a regular basis
- Prepare progress notes for meeting with individual therapist or case manager, wraparound team and other clinicians involved in the care of the client
- Prepare required documentation in accordance to State, County, and Agency Medi-Cal guidelines and standards and consistent with the client’s treatment service plan
- Assist the client’s regular caregivers in learning, utilizing and integrating effective behavioral interventions throughout their daily routine.
- Travel throughout Southern California as needed in order to provide services consistent with the client service plan to Orange County Medi-Cal clients in out-of-county placements
Qualifications:
REQUIRED- Experience/education requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree OR
- Associate’s degree or equivalent + 1 year of applicable work experience OR
- High school diploma/GED + 2 years of applicable work experience
- Applicable experience includes any paid or unpaid experience working with youth or families, or working in the social services field
- Bilingual in Spanish/English.
- At least 21 years of age.
- TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy.
- Proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination or an HR-approved medical/religious exemption.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse population and workforce.
- Strong organizational, time management, and writing skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience working with children/youth and families with complex and enduring needs.
- Experience implementing family-focused services.
Schedule:
- Full-time
- Monday-Friday (hours may vary).
Benefits:
- Starting at $23.22 - $25.72 per hour.
- Actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role.
