Family Reach is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to removing the financial barriers standing between cancer patients and their treatment — such as loss of income, increased out-of-pocket expenses, and socioeconomic factors. When faced with these financial barriers, families have to make impossible decisions like choosing between paying for treatment or basic essentials like housing, food, and transportation.

No family should have to choose between their health and their home — and we won’t stop until that’s the reality.

Position Overview

The Marketing Operations Manager will optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of Family Reach’s marketing and communications initiatives through data analysis, growth marketing, and project management.

As a critical support role within the Development & Communications division, the Marketing Operations Manager will be pivotal in aligning departments across the organization by facilitating seamless operational workflows, optimizing marketing processes, and leveraging analytics to drive strategy.

Their work will empower data-driven decisions to increase donations and reach more families facing cancer.

Reporting to the Director of Communications, the ideal Marketing Operations Manager complements the creative team with strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and strategic thinking. This position has no direct reports.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Content tracking and analysis
  • Identify key metrics across channels — mainly email marketing, social media, and website
  • Monitor + analyze daily content and campaign performance across channels
  • Create monthly, quarterly, and campaign-specific reports on content performance
  • Oversee process for UTM link creation and other campaign tracking
  • Conduct competitor analysis and market research to inform communications strategy
  • Support the Director of Development Operations with donor data collection, management, and analysis
  • Work with team leaders to refine strategies and optimize results based on data
  • Stay current on industry trends and benchmarks
Growth marketing and amplification
  • Develop growth strategies to increase brand awareness and attract new donors, such as audience segmentation, influencer marketing, media mentions, SEO, and paid digital
  • Implement + track tactics to continually increase email subscribers, social followers, and website traffic
  • Conduct A/B testing and analyze results to improve content performance
  • Provide administrative support for Family Reach’s digital presence, such as maintaining the Google Business Profile and managing external vendors
Process and workflow management
  • Work with the Salesforce Operations team to manage marketing technology and automate processes when possible
  • Work with the Data team to maintain data cleanliness, including regular data hygiene across email lists
  • Work with the Grants Manager and creative team to develop fundraising collateral, such as pitch decks, donor recognition, and impact deliverables
  • Oversee organization system for storytelling content collected from families supported by Family Reach
  • Support with document organization in Canva, Google Drive, Confluence, Salesforce, and other internal platforms
  • Assist the Graphic Designer with asset uploads to WordPress and YouTube when needed
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in marketing, martech, data management, or related fields
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools and analytics platforms, such as Google Analytics, email marketing platforms, and content scheduling systems
  • Experience with Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud is preferred
  • Experience with design tools (Canva, Figma, Adobe) is a plus but not required
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Excellent project management skills, including strong time management to stay ahead of competing priorities and meet deadlines

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $50,000-$60,000. Family Reach offers an attractive benefits package, including, but not limited to, an annual performance bonus, medical, dental, vision, retirement plan, and generous vacation and leave policies.
