Computer Science Instructor
Flex College Prep Cupertino Part-time
FLEX College Prep is seeking dynamic individuals to teach elementary and middle school students. Subjects include Scratch, Python, Skylark, and Vidcode. Instructors will create original curriculum, teach live or recorded sessions, and contribute to the development of our program!
What you’ll do:
- Computer Science Instructors assist students individually and in small groups with coursework in our FLEX Online Prep Kids Coding Programs. They develop and customize lesson plans and curriculum to provide students with targeted, individualized academic support. They also maintain comprehensive reports of sessions to track progress and adapt to students’ needs. Most importantly, they help students achieve their academic goals while making the experience as positive as possible.

Requirements
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or similar, from a U.S. Top 50 college or university strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills to establish rapport with students and co-workers
- Knowledge in Python, JavaScript, and/or HTML
- Knowledge in Scratch, Skylark, and/or VidCode
- Knowledge in curriculum-building
- 1+ year or equivalent experience teaching/working with young students (elementary/middle school age)
- Experience teaching computer science or data science course (formally or informally)
