Our Valued Client, a reputable and fast-growing agricultural manufacturer, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its expanding team based in Western Massachusetts. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a range of accounting duties, from maintaining the general ledger to assisting with a variety of transactional and financial accounting duties.

This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting department and the accuracy of our financial data.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger and ensure the balance and reconciliation of accounts
Prepare and manage journal entries while researching and resolving any discrepancies in accounts
Handle administrative duties related to payroll
Perform account and bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy
Assist with audit preparation
Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) for financial management
Perform month end close procedures and adjustments
Use ERP Accounting System for various accounting tasks

BS in Accounting/related
Must hold a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting roles.
Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management is essential.
Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations is required.
Familiarity with the General Ledger system is crucial.
Expertise in creating and managing Journal Entries is necessary.
Must have experience in Month End Close procedures.
Proficiency using accounting software is needed.
