Due to continued growth and investment the newly created role of Global Sales Manager has arisen within a global leader in sensing technology to measure, monitor and manage gas and emissions in some of the most challenging industrial process environments in the world.
The Global Sales Manager will lead the commercial function and drive sales through key account management, end to end customer and distributor development, project delivery and sales. As a key member of the global team, your role will be focusing on expansion into new customer segments and local area distributors whilst driving product development and strengthening sales proposition throughout global markets utilising local sales offices in the UK, Kuala Lumpa, Dubai and Houston.
Job Description- Reporting to the CEO, your role will be focused on maximising sales opportunities with both new and existing direct and in-direct global customers.
- Analyse and monitor the current global markets and prepare a business plan to identify and develop new sales opportunities.
- Help define the commercial path to profitable growth of the company and the establishment of an effective growth process and infrastructure.
- Develop, document and maintain market knowledge in order to develop joint sales and marketing strategies to build sales growth.
- Identify and implement AI tools to improve efficiency across the end-to-end sales processes / to maximise resource management to grow new business.
- Seek new distributor partnerships and end customer sales growth across key industry segments and routes to market.
- Ensure optimal pricing for systems and solution offerings to maximise revenue and maintain competitiveness in the market.
- Control of the achievement of KPIs and drive sales forecasting activities through fully utilising CRM tools including Salesforce tools to maximise efficiency.
- Collaborate with various departments including regional sales and service, finance, operations and marketing to align commercial objectives with overall business goals.
- Wealth of international sales experience in diverse roles, driving and implementing revenue growth ideally within technically led instrumentation or engineered systems and solution led environments.
- Sector experience of supplying into the oil and gas, petrochemical industries would be preferred but not essential.
- Ability to develop, manage and implement strategy and plans globally.
- A background of international travel and working in multi-cultural environments will be essential.
- Ideally located within commuting distance of UK offices in Reading or Cambridge.
