We are looking for a Preschool Lunch and Recess Monitor.

The ideal candidate possesses a balance of high support, growth mindset, and innate joy of working with students.

This role is an immediate start and working until the end of the school year on June 20, 2025. It will be approximately 30 hours a week.

Essential Duties:

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a key support staff member during lunch, recess and afterschool hours
  • Monitor incoming/outgoing traffic and interactions with a keen eye for potential issues in order to ensure the well-being of students, staff, and the sanctity of the educational environment
  • Coordinate the efficient and safe movement of students during arrival and dismissal of lunch and recess hours
  • Create a positive and welcoming environment to our students by ensuring lunch and recess spaces are clean and welcoming
  • Support students behavior by enforcing school-wide rules to make sure the operations are running smoothly
  • Use positive reinforcement at all times
  • Occasionally act as a sub for afterschool activities or assist during homework help, as directed
  • Hours of duties:9:45am - 6pm but subject to change (Monday to Friday, 5 days/week - while the school is in session)
  • Total working hours:Approximately 30 hours/week
  • Grade levels:Nursery, Pre-K and K
Requirements
  • High school graduated
  • Fluency in English required
  • Preferred experience working in an educational setting

Benefits

The hourly rate for this position is $23.50 per hour.
