My client is a well-established, growing manufacturer of injection-molded components, serving customers primarily in the automotive OEM and medical device spaces. They are highly vertically integrated, doing everything in-house from R&D to machine design to production.This has set them up for substantial growth moving forward, both organically and through plans for strategic acquisitions. Job Description- Set up & maintain production in the company's injection molding cell, including machine set-up, troubleshooting, operating, and repair.
- Plan and implement engineering changes.
- Participate in cross-functional team, from concept stages through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet customer, marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives.
- Provide guidance/mentorship to new machinists/engineers.
- Create and implement standard operating procedures and work instructions
- Monitor and perform preventative maintenance in molding manufacturing cell
- Participate in product design reviews to determine feasibility of manufacturing.
- Play key role in all phases in process development and improvement.
- Coordinate budget recommendations for acquisition of new equipment/machinery.
- Ensure efficiency of production starting from new product design
- Work collaboratively across production, quality, and engineering to address any issues and ensure customer satisfaction

The Successful Applicant- 4+ years' experience in plastic injection molding and operating plastic injection molding equipment
- Demonstrated problem solving knowledge pertaining to product design, tooling design, process development/improvement and/or machinery design and development.
- Experience with QAD or other MRP systems
- Strong working knowledge of LEAN manufacturing tools
- Experience working in 3D modeling software, SolidWorks preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Base salary $105,000-$125,000 depending on level of experience
- Annual bonus incentive up to 15% based on company profitability and personal metrics
